Microsoft reserves 20 % of Internet accessible bandwidth for
its own functions like Windows Updates and interrogating your computer etc. By
unreserving this bandwidth, you'll be able to surf your internet connection
faster by 20 %.
Follow the steps explained below...
1. Click start then Run or press win key + R and type
"gpedit.msc" without quotes in run window and hit enter.
2. Find local computer Policy in left side pane now follow
this Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Network -> QoS
Packet scheduler. Open QoS Packet scheduler. You can see, Limit Reservable
bandwidth in right side and double click on Limit Reservable bandwidth.
3. by default it’s not configured however the reality is
under the ‘Help’ tab, read circled area. choose ‘Enable’ and set reservable bandwidth to zero
and click on apply.
